Thomas Stone High School is the fourth highest ranked public high school in Charles County. It is situated in the town of Waldorf, and is one of the oldest high schools in the county and is the second largest. The school is particularly known for it’s highly successful basketball program – having had back-to-back regional title wins from 2007 – 2009. There are currently around 1,899 students enrolled in grades 9 through 12. There is a student to teacher ratio of 21:1. Advanced Placement courses are available in over 25 different subject areas on top of general curriculum, electives and Honors programs to prepare students both for entry into the workplace and college.
